Glo XFactor- Eshun inching up to $150,000
I have always been
enthused about music reality shows, especially one that has to do with some
serious enigmatic voices.
From Stars of the Future,
through Project Fame, Idols, to Voice Factory and now Glo X Factor Africa, I
can say that music is certainly dynamic.
Having been the first time
on the continent, I was somewhat skeptical if we would have the likes of previous
X Factor contestant Paige Thomas, but fortunately, the auditions proved me
wrong.
Almost a month into the
show, one can say that Africa’s edition of X Factor is something to watch out
for even though it has been the Ghana-Nigeria battle as usual.
Contestants are on track,
Judges are on point but unfortunately, Reggie has lost all his contestants,
probably due to lack of votes for the Ghanaian contestants especially.
But just like every other
reality show, there can only be one crown and of course one winner.
One person that Ghanaians
have to watch out for is Eshun. She stands as the only Ghanaian contestant left
after the group, Symphony was booted out last Saturday. I listen to Eshun and I
hear a little bit of Efya and perhaps a better voice and a much more sleek stage
act.
Does she have the X Factor
to make it to the finals and eventually walk away with the $150,000? Maybe that
is up to her, the judges and the viewers out there to decide. However, I think
it is time Ghanaians supported their own.
You can read the emotions on judge Onyeka's face anytime Eshun mounts the stage. Like she said "Ghanaians don't let this talent go to waste ooo." Please vote as you enjoy the show. For once, lets do this for Ghana.

The X Factor Eviction airs
on Saturdays on Viasat 1 at 4:00pm and on GhOne at 6:30pm. The
performance show airs every Sunday on Viasat1 at 8:00pm and
every Monday on GHone at 7:00pm.
Fans and the public can
vote by texting the ‘voting number’ of their favorite contestants to short code
1739 from Ghana and ‘33680’ from Nigeria.
My opinion. First published in the Weekend Finder newspaper.
